Appointed Person’s First Aid

This is a six-hour certified course in first aid, valid for three years, as required for appointed persons in a working environment. The course is suitable for those students entering their clinical year, as well as qualified acupuncturists.

Members of the British Acupuncture Council are among the few health professionals that require a current certificate in first aid, a demand that contributes to the high standards of patient care and safety.

This course, whilst suitable as a generic First Aid for Appointed Persons training, is aimed towards acupuncturists in practice and those coming to the end of their training. It is assessed continually by the traineer on the day itself.

Roger formally qualified in first aid in the 1970s and was a member of the British Red Cross for 24 yearswhere he became a first-aid trainer, as well as doing further training in ambulance aid. He is an engaging and wry trainer, able to bring this day's training alive and relevant for everyday practice.
