Paul Hougham is the Principal of CTA and teaches in the college’s BA and MA programmes, as well as practising traditional acupuncture in the Malvern Hills. Previously Vice Principal of SOFEA - The School of Five Element Acupuncture in London, a member of the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board and past President of the British Acupuncture Council, Paul continues to work towards an authentic and professional development of acupuncture within healthcare in the UK and is External Examiner for the BSc in Acupuncture at UEL, the University of East London.
Paul is widely published within the profession and is also the author of The Atlas of Mind, Body and Spirit published by Gaia Press, and translated into nine languages worldwide. It is a panoramic perspective of the various ways in which global spiritual and scientific traditions have mapped the landscape of the body.
Paul Hougham is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and has a small practice of private patients in addition to the teaching and clinical supervision he undertakes in his role as Principal of CTA.
