Student Loans

CTA is the only private acupuncture college registered with the Student Loan Department as a Higher Education Facility and as such, any student joining us to train on the 3 year degree course is entitled to receive £3,000 per year as a student loan.

Unfortunately, the present legislation precludes any student that has already received a government grant in the past from applying a second time.

In addition to the Student Loan, our students may apply, again through the Student Loan Company, to receive a means-tested, maintenance grant of up to £2,700 per year to cover out of pocket expenses.

The means testing has an eligibility critera based around the family income, below £17,500 pa full grant and above £35,000 pa nil grant.

Full information can be obtained through your local district authority, asking for the Student Finance representative and quoting that you are going to study on “The College of Traditional Acupuncture, 3 year full time Degree Course”.
