as a charity and a community of practitioners, teachers and support staff are to a wide range of different groups, from patients to students as well as fellow professionals in both medicine and education.
CTA is one of the most established colleges in the UK and has trained acupuncturists for over 40 years. During 2008 we renewed what would be for a business a "mission statement" of our primary commitments, through extensive consultation with faculty, staff, students and trustees. This became an expansion of our charitable aims of the treatment, education and research of traditional acupuncture, into a wider responsibility to the groups we serve and work with in upholding the integrity and effectiveness of this traditional medicine.
